Some day I would love to hear some stories of your past life as a journalist and how you moved from structure to the flow of story. What I like the most of a good news article, (written by a decent journallist), is the lead. In the B2B world, "having a point" is missed far too often and replaced with fluff words, such as state of the art. In this way, even though both news and B2B content march to a different drummer, as Simon Sinek points out, start with why, the rest will follow. Yet I also firmly belief a good story needs to follow the right flow to connect with and move the listener. On re-invent, no fear, we violently agree, it is a metaphor us engineers use all the time. To re-invent implies we are using things of the past, such as a wheel...

Small clarification, on start with why, I do not mean the story starts this way. As Simon points out, the why is in all things one does and helps us build what it is we are trying to achieve.

Hi John/Ken -- I love these comments! I was able to move from structure to story flow by taking oral storytelling classes with some of the top folks in the story performance arena. I could myself very lucky to have had those experiences and encourage everyone I can to take some oral storytelling classes. And creating writing classes along the way sure helped too! As you say, lead-ins are so important and so many folks I coach/train struggle with how to open a story. I think my training as a journalist definitely helped there. I totally agree with your points about fluff and starting out with why, and flow. LOL on the re-invent! Great minds think alike :)

"La primera vegada que vaig sentir parlar dels codis QR va ser el juliol de 2009, al costat de Narcís Vives i Josep Torrents, en una reunió de coordinadors TIC. Només puc dir que des de llavors em vaig enamorar d’aquests codis i ja vaig començar a rumiar com podria treballar-los amb el meu alumnat a l’aula. Em va fascinar el misteri que amagaven, i tot el que podien emmagatzemar sense arribar a mostrar res. Per a aquells que no coneguin aquests codis, el primer que farem serà presentar-los. "

En @la_Ser, esta mañana, hablando sobre Redes Sociales y adolescentes. La preocupación es obvia y completamente generalizada. Algunas de las pautas que me suelen reportar los padres y educadores como más útiles: Estar en las Redes: saber qué son, para qué sirven y cuáles son sus parámetros de privacidad. Esto esto es lo más "feo" de las redes, pero es lo que nos toca transmitir com adultos. Igual que otros temas de interés: la educación sexual, drogas, alcohol: somos y debemos ser su pepito grillo! ¿Cómo hacerlo?: darse de alta en Facebook, en twitter, conocerlos. ásistir Normativizar su uso: Para esto hay que hablarles de identidad digital, de respeto a su imagen y a la de los demás, de privacidad. Esto que damos por supuesto en lo presencial, queda diluido en lo virtual. Hay que activarles la conciencia de qué comparten y con quién lo hacen.Ayudarles a relacionarse adecuadamente en este nuevo entorno: hacerlo supone darles pautas para saber desenvolverse, no solo a nivel de ocio, también en un futuro laboral que les va a requerir tener desarrolladas estas competencias.

El Storytelling es un muy buen recurso para "contar" cosasa y para que otros nos cuenten cosas. Es un recurso educativo inigualable y de múltiples usos en el aula. Incluso podría plantearse como un posible recurso para hacer partícipe también a los padres en el proceso educativo.
