Drive More Traffic To your Blog by Submitting News and Articles

Drive More Traffic To your Blog by Submitting News and Articles | Prionomy | Scoop.it

After several experiments and tries, I finally did a setup for a community news section on FamousBloggers.net that I am satisfied with. So, I think it’s a good time to share this on the blog and announce the new Community News section for bloggers.

Also, I will give you some information on how I created the news section in case you are interested in implementing it on your own blog, however I won’t get deep into technical stuff, but I will point you to the right direction.

What is a Community News?

If you don’t know what community news section is, then let me give you a quick view…

The Community News section is a way of sharing knowledge, basically you have a section dedicated to receive links submissions from the community and publish it on your own blog. It’s so close to the idea of social bookmarking sites, but the technique and tools are different.

Here are some of the places and different ways you can use keywords on your social media pages.

#1: Find the right keywords for your social media accounts:

it’s important to realize that the keywords you decide to use will be different for different social media accounts. It is not a “one keyword fits all” operation.

#2: Use the keyword in photo captions:

The goal is to use keywords on your social media site whenever possible. One of the first things you can do is use these keywords to describe your company photos.

#3: Use your keyword when linking and tagging webpages:

Social media keywords generally work best with sites such as LinkedIn and Facebook, but this ideas works just as well when it comes to Twitter.

Tagine: a dish which put Moroccan cuisine on the world culinary map. Quite literally, tagine is the name given to a deep earthenware pot with a large conical cover, similar to a top-hat. The essence of Moroccan cuisine is to let the meat slowly stew inside the tagine, infusing all the flavors while preventing them from escaping.

When You Are On The Go, Less Is Always More: Curated Computing Is The Future of Portable Devices

Robin Good: The age of curated UI design for portable devices is already here.

But I had never thought of it this way. Until I ran into this interesting video clip from Sarah Rotman (back from May 2010) that made me think about curation in the realm of UI and content delivery design.

"Forrester Research Analyst Sarah Rotman Epps talks about how Apple's iPad and other tablet devices will usher in a new era of personal computing.

Forrester Research calls this "Curated Computing"-- a mode of computing where choice is constrained to deliver less complex, more relevant experiences.

There's more at stake here than just tablets: Curated Computing will be the dominant design principle behind future form factors like wearable devices.

Product strategists that don't want to cede the future of devices to Apple should start thinking like museum curators and editors: Sometimes less is more."

Is this really about "curation"?

What's your take on this?

Read more on the original "curated computing" Forrester concept here: http://blogs.forrester.com/sarah_rotman_epps/10-05-14-curated_computing_designing_for_the_post_ipad_era

Palo Alto Schools Just Bet Big On Schoology | Edudemic

Palo Alto Schools Just Bet Big On Schoology | Edudemic | Prionomy | Scoop.it

Back in 2010, Edudemic’s own Jeff Dunn introduced readers to Schoology, a sophisticated learning management system (LMS) that harnesses the popularity of social media to enhance the school-related experiences of students, teachers, parents, and administrators. The LMS does this by using an interface familiar to many users.

Schoology has proven to be a successful venture; it is even starting to lure customers away from free solutions with their enterprise solution. With today’s tight education budgets, that might just prove to be big news. Recently, Schoology formed a partnership with the Palo Alto Unified School District, arguably one of the best school districts in the country.

This prompted the editors of Edudemic to revisit the platform and take it for another test drive.
