Fan angrily confronts Hawaii coach - ESPN

New York Daily News
Fan angrily confronts Hawaii coach
ESPN
A UC Santa Barbara fan ran out on the court Thursday night during a stoppage in play and angrily confronted the Hawaii coaching staff and was arrested.
Russell Roberts's insight:

Apparently, a U C Santa Barbara fan took his team a little too seriously when he confronted the Hawaii coaching staff on the court during Thursday night's mens basketball game.  According to ESPN, this is the third such incident in a month in which a college basketball fan has come into violent conflict with a player or coach.  The man was later arrested and removed from the court.  Following the 86-77 loss to the Gauchos, Hawaii coach Gib Arnold said, "It was a little crazy to have a fan pushing your players around...I've never seen it...you don't expect it."  U C Santa Barbara spokesman Bill Mahoney said the fan "could face discipline" and "could be expelled if he is a student."  Aloha, Russ.

Sony decides to scrap 'The Interview' - Hawaii News Now | PRG HAWAII NEWS WITH RUSS ROBERTS | Scoop.it
Following threats of terrorist-style acts and major theater chains already dropping the project, Sony Pictures has decided against the planned Dec. 25 release of 'The Interview.'
Russell Roberts's insight:

Cyber terrorist threats have forced Sony Pictures to withdraw a controversial movie from distribution.  These threats, apparently traced to a special North Korean cyber espionage unit, have also forced the closure of some theaters across the United States.  Security experts say all businesses must pay more attention to their internal security procedures.  Lax security protocols have been linked to the devastating security breaches at many companies, including Target, K-Mart, the Veterans Administration, and now Sony Pictures Entertainment.  The same concern should be addressed to our own personal data.  Whether we believe it or not, this country is involved in a cyber war that threatens our economy and way of life.  Be careful with whom you share personal information.  As a victim of identity theft, I can tell you the experience of restoring your credit is a life-changing experience.  Keep your lives as private as you can.  Aloha, Russ.
