Grid display for Prestashop 1.5 default theme | Prestashop nuggets | Scoop.it

Explanation: I used smarty comments ({* content commented out *}) to hide the left column, then changed the center column class to grid_7 to take up the 2 grid units left empty by the left column. Notice that I added the aplha class so that the column doen’s have a left margin.

Module Override | Presthemes

PrestaShop allows you to override or replace certain visible module files with new ones with the same theme. It couldn't be simpler, just do the following:

/themes/prestashop/modules/mon_module/mon_module.tpl
/themes/prestashop/css/modules/mon_modules/mon_module.css
/themes/prestashop/js/modules/mon_modules/mon_module.js

The new files will be used when you display your website.

[Solved] Deleting test orders | Prestashop nuggets | Scoop.it

to delete one order at at time...

Click on one of the orders ( in the back office) and replace the parameters “vieworder” with “deleteorder” from the url

For example

http://yourdomain.co...0d828eb3f2a8621

Change it to:

http://yourdomain.co...0d828eb3f2a8621

Works like a charm!

Creating new Prestashop themes

Creating new Prestashop themes | Prestashop nuggets | Scoop.it

Duplicate the default Prestashop theme

Make a copy of the default theme by copying themes/prestshop.

Save the folder to your computer and rename this to “mytheme” or whatever name you wish to use. Now copy or upload these renamed folder into the themes directory. You should now have a theme called Prestashop and another called Mytheme in this directory.

Now login to your Prestashop backoffice, go to preferences>>appearance and change the theme to your "mytheme" that you installed and click save.

FILE STRUCTURE

the default theme is a good way to get inspiration, both in the variety of files it features and behaviors it caters for, but also in its code, which you can dive into in order to better understand how a theme works.

Integration: where the hooks and modules are

One of the key point of integrating content within a PrestaShop theme is to know where said content is displayed, and therefore where the various hooks and modules are located.
