CONSISTENCY - Being consistent in your presentation means that you are not distracting your audience with fluctuating designs and jarring colors. Here are some basic design elements which you must take care of:

 

Text and Images must all appear within the same grid on all slidesFont style and sizes must be uniform across all slidesBackground or theme must be the same acrossUse only a particular selection of charts

 

The key is simplicity. Don't overdo it!

SHIFT HAPPENS!!!

Hold down the Shift key while working your PowerPoint presentation:

1. to draw a perfectly straight line, round circle or a perfect square
2. and click on the normal view icon to get the Master slide
3. and press Enter for a new line with a bullet
4. while resizing an image or object so that the dimensions are never distorted

Use no more than 4 colors in your entire presentation Each color that you choose must complement each other Ensure legibility of your text by using appropriate contrast ratios, i.e. dark font on light background or vice versa.
