Should pregnant moms take on endurance challenges? – The Chart - CNN.com Blogs

After Amber Miller finished the Chicago Marathon on Sunday, she had another endurance challenge to complete -- labor. Miller, a veteran marathon runner, ran the race while 38 weeks pregnant. Babies are considered full term after 37 weeks.

While I definitely commend this lady on her absolute and utter bravery and endurance, I'm sure that I couldn't have done the same during either of my pregnancies. However, it was made clear to me early on that developing a walking regimen would decrease my odds against gestational diabetes and unhealthy weight gain. Check out this link that can further expound on the significance of maintaining good health during pregnancy.
