Green Screen Movie FX Studio - teachingwithipad.org | pre-service teacher ideas | Scoop.it
In preparing for a Green Screen Workshop this week, my good friend Matt and I created this presentation profiling the app Green Screen Movie FX Studio, by Epocfield ($2.99, iTunes link). We have been using this app for almost two years now, and have been very happy with what it can achieve. Although the learning curve for this app is steeper than most, the possibilities are limitless. If you take some time to play around and learn how to use this app, you can really have a lot of fun with it. We used it with third to six graders a couple of summers ago, and they were able to do it quite well.

A computing revolution in schools | Coding | Europe | UK

A computing revolution in schools | Coding | Europe | UK | pre-service teacher ideas | Scoop.it

This is the week when a revolution begins to sweep through schools in England. It involves a whole new way of teaching children about computing - but I suspect many parents, and even some teachers, know very little about this important moment in education.

As children from five upwards return to school, they are going to have to start learning how to program - or to "code" to use the trendy term which seems to upset some old-school programmers. This is the result of the new national curriculum for computing that is being introduced in England this term.
