Regular massages can be very beneficial. Make sure to check if your massage therapist is qualified in pre-and post natal massage.

I am so glad to see something written about depression during pregnancy. It is a fundamental time for the mother and the unborn child. The mum to be can feel in top of her depression so much guilt as well for not feeling on top of the world and because of that suppress her feelings which will make it even worse. Knowing  you are not alone and that there is help out there will make such a difference.

Some interesting differences in the numbers of complications during childbirth in favour of homebirths.

 

Being a mother of 3 children myself and having experienced both hospital and homebirth, I must say that having my baby at home was such a wonderful experience. Being at home in a familiar surrounding makes you feel safe and relaxed which has a positive affect on your body going through the stages of labour.

Good information about the benefits of regular massage during pregnancy. I would like to add that massage also stimulates the production of Oxytocin, also called the Love hormone, which assists in the bonding process between mother and baby.

 

Please make sure to chose a qualified massage therapist trained in pregnancy massage.
