Allan Savory : "How to green the world's deserts and reverse climate change

Allan Savory suggests that desertification of the world's grasslands is the immediate cause of poverty, social breakdown, violence, cultural genocide -and a significent contribution to climate change. In the 1960s, while working in Africa on the interrelated problems of increasing poverty and disappearing wildlife, he made a significant breakthrough in understanding the degradation and desertification of grassland ecosystems. After decades of study and collaboration, thousands of managers of land, livestock and wildlife on five continents today follow the methodology he calls "Holistic Management"…

Allan Savory témoigne " (...)nous avons tué 40 000 éléphants pour essayer d'arrêter les dommages. Et c'est devenu pire, pas mieux. En aimant les éléphants comme je les aime c'était la plus triste et la plus grande erreur de ma vie, et je l'emporterai dans ma tombe. Une bonne chose en est ressortie. Ça m'a rendu extrêmement déterminé à consacrer ma vie à la recherche de solutions.(...)" Ainsi Allan Savory parle-t-il des solutions finalement trouvées.

L'espoir et la clef pour sauver notre planète de la désertification ? Les résultats semblent édifiants !
