I see that a huge number of people in this world (almost half) live their lives with less than $2.50 a day, and some even with only $1. I think that the numbers are very scary whereby thinking about it makes me shocked. I wonder how can someone live a day with only $1, and worse, most of the poor have huge family?

From the article above, I can see that almost half the world — over three billion people — live on less than $2.50 a day. I think it is due to the uneven distribution of wealth in the world. I feel that there are still many parts of the world suffering from poverty. Poverty has also lead to the suffering of many people including children. Poverty has endangered many people's lives due to the lack of healthcare, shelter, safe drinking water and also education.

Using social media to accomplish something, to end poverty.

Noraini's curator insight, February 24, 2014 9:46 AM

I am truly amazed by how motivated and kind/helpful they are as they want poverty to stop by using media social. I believe not alot of people would do such thing to raise awareness of poverty as we are living in the 21st Century and they are all busy but then again, we have to be aware of what is happening around us.
