This is my insight using see-think-wonder. From what I saw, there are many people out there suffering mental health and physical health problem due to poverty. These people suffered mental health due to lack of money and food, hence making them weak and frail. These people they do not even have enough money to buy food. As for what I was thinking, they really did survive till such a age even with poverty pressuring them. For what i was wondering, if the rate of poverty keeps increasing, there might be a chance that a country would be made of poor and ill people instead of healthy people. How do these people manage to gain their control of being under poverty? Why are they under poverty and how do they get rid of poverty?
This is my insight of see-think-wonder. From what I saw, there are at least 800 million people that does not have access to clean drinking water and 1.2 billion people live without electricities. As for what i was thinking, they could even stay alive for even under $2 a day.The people who are living under $2 a day are mostly the people that are the people that have no access to clean drinking water. From what i was wondering, if there is a water source in a remote area or a poor area, why cant they build the water source or transfer the water from the source to the village instead of wanting those people to be walking miles and miles to get water?
This article discusses how a drought affects agriculture and forces nearly 2 million residents to sell their livestock, which in turn results in a vicious cycle of poverty. Additionally, it addresses an intresting perspective from the view of those attempting to aid the people living in Afghanistan:
"Sometimes, it’s very frustrating being a PI Officer. You show up in some terribly poor, remote village with a notebook and a camera, and people get cross with you. They don’t want their photos taken or their words written down, their privacy invaded at a time when they’re feeling weak and vulnerable. They need help – food, water, roads, schools… And you – the person with the notebook – are not in a position to be able to give them any of those things."
This is my insight by using the see-think-wonder. From what I saw, Afghanistan is in poverty due to a drought which affects agriculture. There is even a remote village that has no food, clean drinking water, proper roads and schools. As for what I think, Afghanistan is trying their best to survive even though they have no food and no water. As i was wondering, how do they manage to survive under such harsh condition? With no food and no clean drinking water, how do they even move about?
This is my insight using see-think-wonder. From what i saw, there are many children which are under poverty in Asia. Most of the children are from 3rd world country. All this children, they do not have education, some may have a little while others, none. For what i was thinking, those children are working for someone who is better than them at education. They have to work so hard just to earn some money to survive. As for what i was wondering, how did the children even manage to cooperate with the adults in working? And how do they know if they are working for the good or the bad?
The World Bank says soaring food prices have already pushed millions more people into extreme poverty this year.
Gerald Tan's insight:
This is my insight using the see-think-wonder. From what I saw, i saw that the price of food has increased, hence increasing the poverty for food stuff. Due to the increased price, there are many people that are suffering from hunger. As for what I was thinking, I thought that most of the people would either be poor or homeless, but not to the extend of being so poor until they can't even buy food to eat. For what i was wondering, where did all the food go? Why increase the price rate for food stuffs? If they do that, people will be fighting for food and money to get food.
