Palin to Obama: Put down the 'race card'

Alice Stewart and Marc Lamont Hill discuss Sarah Palin's comments about President Obama playing the 'race card'. More from CNN at http://www.cnn.com To licen...
L.Divyaasri's insight:

A lady host on CNN agrees with Palin saying that Obama-said that “some don’t like me because I’m black” -is playing the race card while an African- American to the right of the screen says that Obama is definitely not playing the 'race card' at all and says that she stating that Obama is using the 'race card' so that he could be sympathized with. While the man says that he uses it only to state a fact. Another man in the middle says that some people vote for Obama because of his colour and nothing else; giving an example saying that his mother supports Obama because of his colour. And that Obama’s ‘colour supporters’ feel that whatever he does is right and is the best. From this we can see that people have different viewpoints of different races and statements.

Russia's racism against their ethnic minorities Tatars in Crimea

In Crimea, native Tatars feel discriminated due to lack of lands. Conflicts between Tatars and their Slavic neighbors in recent years has led to massed fist ...
L.Divyaasri's insight:

The russians are not allowing their minority group, the Tartars to stay in Russia. They chased them out of their houses when they were really small children even at the tender age of 7. They even bulldozed their houses infront of them. They have yet to give many of the Tartars land to stay in. Some of them live in huts and homes for the homeless people. This shows that the Russians do not respect their minorities and are disrespectful to them.

Discussion Of Race, Slavery And Immigration Gets HEATED On CNN [VIDEO] | conflict and prejudice | Scoop.it
The immigration debate got heated on (Discussion Of Race, Slavery And Immigration Gets HEATED On CNN [VIDEO] | The Daily Caller http://t.co/dv7Thh21Li)...
L.Divyaasri's insight:

An editor, Crystal Wright and a columnist, Keli Goff had a heated conversation on CNN. They were talking about Jose Antonio Vargas who is undocumented. Goff supported the idea of him staying in the country despite being undocumented and said that he has no ties with his country while Wright said that the children who were illegally brought to US be deported back to their own country and so as for Jose. Goff made a point by saying that though she is considered an African- American; put in Africa she wouldn’t be able to relate to the people staying there. While Wright shot back saying that her ancestors were from Africa and were sent to US being slaves and not to equate them as illegals.  From this we can see that Wright is fighting for the right of law for US and for her race.
