The role of the interface in an i-doc - Interactive Factual

The role of the interface in an i-doc - Interactive Factual | Post-Documentary | Scoop.it
“The interface is content” says Alexandre Brachet from Upian. What does this mean? The interface is no just a way to navigate through content, it is a way to place the user within a story space, and by doing so it gives roles, it explains the possibilities, it generates feelings in the users… and it […]

Question 6: The interface: what is its role in an i-doc?

The Most Northern Place - Web Documentary

The Most Northern Place - Web Documentary | Post-Documentary | Scoop.it

The Most Northern Place is a simple but powerful web documentary about a small town in Northern Greenland.

It tells of a clash of cultures and a conflict of territory set during the run-up to the Cold War, and the forced relocation of the Inuit population native to the town of Thule by the U.S. Army, circa 1953.

The haunting soundtrack, stunning imagery and elegantly simple user experience is quite powerful.

A lot of stories have to be told and shown, captured by images, sounds and data. Congo needs attention, support, visibility. That's what Congotales is for. You've already met Masika and the miners from Rubaya. But more tales are coming". Scrolling
