Basically I really like the graphic here. It's leaps out and grabs your attention. The design is appealing yet simple and easy to navigate. Are we teaching these aspects as we engage students in using technology? Design is so utterly important.

Measuring Success Is Not Easy

Measuring Success Is Not Easy | Post - LMS | Scoop.it

Institutions offering MOOCs should work with MOOC platforms toward the creation of measures for reporting course and student outcomes. Such endeavors would certainly facilitate the evaluation and comparison of MOOCs while perhaps also lending credibility to MOOCs as an emerging means of education. In other words, some standards in the Wild West world of MOOCs would benefit both the offering institutions as well as education consumers.

Laura Gekeler's insight:

For edtech and a post LMS world, madbits is a company to watch for learning analytics. Understanding the content of an image, whether or not there are tags associated with that image, is a complex challenge. We developed our technology based on deep learning, an approach to statistical machine learning that involves stacking simple projections to form powerful hierarchical models of a signal."
