Daily Mail Racism is a white man's invention: Indians may be bigoted, prejudiced and ... Daily Mail This is what the piece said: "Though rarely racist, Britons are exceptionally hostile to immigration - more so than Germans, French or the Dutch.
From this article, I can see that racism is the most common in India. Most people in India do not want to live with a person of different race next door. I feel that racism is a serious problem and should be resolved as soon as possible to prevent any upcoming racial clashs or conflicts. I think that the people which are racism, are often influenced by the people around them and the environment they are born in. I think the government could have step in to help improve the situation and try to reduce racism in India. I wonder will there be a racial riot in future if the racism issue is not resolved?
I feel like a lot of people have a sense of entitlement that they bring to the online world. People sniff around Facebook and Twitter and say, “Oh, well that person is making tons of money because of their online presence. I should be able to do that too.” The sense of the American dream – of going from “rags to riches” through hard work and dedication, seems to be dissipating. People are no longer willing to wait. if someone else has found success, they also want that success, and like the little girl from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Veruca Salt, they want it now.
Entitlement and Engagement Don’t Mix
If you bring with you a sense of entitlement to the online world, it becomes exponentially more difficult to engage in meaningful ways with people...
From this article, I can see that people who feel that the world owes him or have a sense of entitlement often lead to their astray. These people often becomes selfish due to their thoughts. They only care about themselves and doesn't spare a thought for anyone else. Too often, these people are unable to achieve something that they want and even if they do achieve, they will just feel normal as it felt as if they deserve it in the first place. I feel that nothing in this world is entitled to us, and this phrase "No one ownes us a living" is a best representation of it. It the fighting for what we want, that actually gets us what we want. Sometimes, I still wonder what other factors can lead to failure, other than the sense of entitlement?
Singapore said yesterday that it would pursue local firms found to be involved in starting forest fires in Sumatra, Indonesia, as Greenpeace said the blazes were on palm oil plantations owned by Indonesian, Malaysian and Singaporean companies....
The recent haze problem in Singapore had caused many problems. I witnessed many elderly's health being affected and needed to visit the hospital. When the government of Singapore requested Indonesia to resolve the situation, indonesia blamed other countries' companies situated in indonesia for burning forest illegally and this includes Singapore. I feel that since everyone live in the same place called Earth, we should not be harming one another but taking good care of each other. We should also work together to solve any problem quickly. If this problem is not quickly solved, when will it be? How many more people have to go to the hospital until the haze problem can actually subsidies and turn better?
This LibGuide explores the following themes: 1. causes and effects of conflict in a multi-ethnic society (case studies of Northern Ireland and Sri Lanka and 2. challenges in resolving ethnic conflicts.
From this article, I can see that there are two races fighting against each other and the further disagreements is which that pulls them apart from one another. I believe that if both parties are willing to forget the hatred and forgive each other, the issue will be issued very quickly. I feel that Sri Lanka government should help to resolve peace between the both parties which lives in the same place. I wonder how long will the government take to step in and resolve the situation.
In my opinion, as what the pictures already shown, attitude is everything to a human being. It is because, a person with a negative attitude will always only think negatively and do negative stuffs. However, on the other hand, if you think about only positive stuffs. Your future will always seems very bright and positive to you. You will then work even harder to achieve your ultimate. I think that it is true that a person tomorrow is where your thoughts had led you to. I can't imagine if the world is filled with people of negative thoughts, how can the world continue to become more advanced?
