A passionate plea to add SEL/EQ training as required core curriculum in all high schools. Five more Canadian teens commit suicide after being bullied.

The proposed course would teach empowerment and self-coaching skills:
- How to shift your thoughts and choose positivity.
- How to accept imperfection and feel worthy and good enough
- How to develop empathy, sensitivity and mindfulness
- How to let go of judgement and labels
- How to communicate compassionately and effectively

So why does this matter in a job interview?

Often times, someone with strong Emotional Intelligence (EI) is perceived to have very strong communication skills, or to be “quick” or ‘“on the ball”.  Any employer would like to hire someone that’s quick to understand and effectively communicate and address concerns with others!

And one way to do that successfully, over time, in our busy world is through tokens of our appreciation. Yes, that’s right, we have to pay them.
