Interesting note in this article about the coal plant in Inner Mongolia being shut down.   The new #socialmedia transparency in AQI readings may have positive effects on adherence to new emissions regulations.

Cold weather across China -- air quality levels are at Unhealthy levels in Shanghai too - starting the day at 168 - likely to climb as the day goes on.
