The database contains results of urban outdoor air pollution monitoring from almost 1100 cities in 91 countries.
ESmith's insight:

The geography of air pollution,  the global distribution of particulate matter. Data for the Middle East shows a high level of particulate matter, last year fieldwork data for carbon dioxide showed levels over 1000ppm. Air pressure being a significant causal factor. High pressure is common here and therefore so is calm weather. Pollutants cannot escape the city. What is the situation where you live?
