Sabin DeJoode's insight:

All of the cups, and bags and everything that fast food places give you for your to go orders is ridiculous. Most of what they give you usually ends up thrown out the window also. You always see McDonalds things around town because everyone litters and that pollutes out country.

It's weird to think about how much pollution I've caused from eating fast food. That's really interesting.

It's a really big eye opener to see how much waste is actually involved when eating fast food.
Aletta Verhey's curator insight, October 2, 2013 1:16 PM

As everybody already knows, America is known for lots of Fast Food. But what not many people know is that we have a huge recycling problem that goes along with fast food. Only less than 35% of fast food waste is taken to recycling facilities. If you purchase one sandwhich and one coffee for only one year, that is nearly 20 pounds of extra paper waste. Numerous studies have shown that not much of this waste not only goes to the recycling places, but alongside the roads that we drive on. Fast food waste is the primary contributor to urban litter in the US.

Sabin DeJoode's insight:

Pollution levels are ridiculously high. Power plants will produce alot of air pollution. If somehow it would be possible to reduce air pollution and use wind power.

In the near future we could be the number leader in pollution from power plants, but we can change from fossil fuels to wind or solar power and it would lower pollution levels

Sabin DeJoode's insight:

Pollution and littering have become so bad. Animals have eventually ended up eating garbage which can and will kill them. So many lives are being affected because of the pollution that has been happening in North America

I see in this video a live community and animals living then I saw death from pollution. This is the start of somthing big and this is the first step, were animals suffer for our mistakes and next it could be us dying this HORRIBLE death or we could start to recover from our mistakes.

As I looked at this topic I noticed how negetively affective air pollution can be. I never thought of it as such a serious thing, however it can really affect your life. You may possibly get Cardiovascular or Respiratory Diseases.

Its good because alot of people have a few cars with 500-1500hp. Those cars will produce more pollution by burning more gas because of the energy that it needs in order to put out that much horsepower.
