Saw that this topic was important to become more aware of it because it a criminal act of violence that is happening in our fortified military bases. What would become of this if the people cannot trust their own military because some guy that lost his marbles while on duty started gunning down his own fellow soldiers. Seems like an inside job though because soldiers do not just start shooting down people like that.

Awesome Art Picks: Nightwing, Thor, Wolverine and More - TV Balla | Current Events | Scoop.it

It's time once again to check out some of this week's coolest comic book art that you won't ever see in an actual comic. The reason you won't is because artists often draw sketches for fun or commissions and post them on their blogs, Tumblrs and websites. Some artists even arrange commissions through their sites so be sure to check them out for more information.

It is good to know that a powerful drug lord has been taken down and put into custody, but it is seems like a bad thing because the city where he resided at basically survived on the jobs he would supply the people. Even if it was hauling drugs into a freight from a warehouse, the deed seemed more good than evil because it was the base of the mexican cities economy. El Chapo might be a criminal for making drug sales but has helped Sinaloa keep the economy going.

I thought this article was worth viewing because it deals with a giant dilemma the US is currently dealing with. It is not only Utah that has a strong will and will not bend to allow the federal government tell them how to run their state government. It has caused some headaches because the government wants to allow gay marriage but the state of Utah believes in a sacred marriage that should only be allowed between man and woman. Since it is a religious based belief they throw the excuse of saying that they cannot mix religion with politics.

This event was not a good day for the US. The secretary of defense admitted to ignoring the subject to deal with other things that they considered more important then a few ambassadors where trapped in the embassy of Benghazi. Even though there a close by military unit that could have evacuated them, they decided to let the ambassadors die.

Using DC power to save energy -- and end the war on currents

Yet, while we live in an “AC world,” we find nearly all of our equipment uses DC within the devices and converting AC to DC or DC to AC results in conversion losses. While the efficiencies of power conversion are dependent on current and voltage, conversion equipment is typically “rated” from 90 to 95 percent can actually be much lower.

An idea to save power and energy is not a bad one. If executed precisely, the plan can save a lot of state money and natural resources in California alone. It is possible to harvest solar power but the mechanisms needed to make it happen are expensive. Lowering the amount of energy used can be beneficial for the power of income that a consumer has if they are saving more on their electricity bill.

I considered this current event to be important to know about because it keeps people up to date on what music is considered popular. To know when a concert such as this is good to know because it gives ideas to a college student where to go if they need a break from studying and writing papers for college courses. Going to Raves are to go have fun but also help one relax and be refreshed when coming back to college to start hitting the backs.

Jonathan Haidt Decodes the Tribal Psychology of Politics

Jonathan Haidt Decodes the Tribal Psychology of Politics | Current Events | Scoop.it

In March, Haidt will publish The Righteous Mind: Why Good People Are Divided by Politics and Religion (Pantheon). By laying out the science of morality—how it binds people into "groupish righteousness" and blinds them to their own biases—he hopes to drain some vitriol from public debate and enable conversations across ideological divides.

The legalizing of gay marriage is a big issue that is still giving many issues to many of the states of the US. Some of the states have easily agreed to allow gay marriage while others are refusing to let that happen because it goes against everything they believe or have been taught. Mixing religion with politics is not a good thing because it leads to lawsuits that no one has the time or the money to spend on.
