Being an officer of the law puts you in many situations where your blood and heart will race. I think coming into law enforcement you are aware of the risks that are involved and it’s unfortunate that in this case the officer was too antsy. As we learned through classes you have to protect yourself and also look out for the safety of bystanders. I do not think shooting an unarmed man while on a bus surrounded by many bystanders was an appropriate decision.

I'd have to agree...these incidents move very quickly and sometimes the rational part of the brain doesn't catch up until a less than optimal action has already been taken. With more experience, officers often learn how to put the breaks on earlier.

I think that this theory does make sense, Police Officers and others in extremely tense and stressful careers will have a tendency to become anxious it’s inevitable because there is always a lot of the line which requires decisions to be made literally on the fly with very little or even no time to think and contemplate the situation and possible outcomes. I do not think that the Officer though was appropriate in shooting of the unarmed man especially in the train there had to be so many people in a very confined space with literally nowhere to go and the article also stated that when officers are under pressure and anxious accuracy goes down and what if a bystander was hurt or killed.

Once a strategy for retailers to build brand awareness and coolness cred in a flashy spectacle (now you see us, now you don't), the pop-up shop has transformed into a tool of urban revitilization. In San Francisco, the city government has partnered with a pop-up incubator called SQFT to help activate a downtrodden neighborhood's potential with a jolt of temporary business inserted into retail deadspace. Today, SQFT celebrates its launch by bringing a slice of life to a string of blocks in San Francisco's Mid-Market with a pop-up library, yoga studio, and cafe, among other temporary businesses...
