MONTREAL, Canada – May 13, 2013 – Amaya Gaming Group Inc. (AMAYA) (TSXV: AYA) is pleased to announce that Amaya and mybet (FSE: XMY) are expanding their partnership to include Amaya’s Ongame Poker and Live Dealer on mybet websites.

mybet began using Amaya’s online casino software in 2005 and the relationship has since grown. As a complement to this established casino partnership, mybet has decided to switch to Amaya’s Ongame poker network for both mybet.com and mybet.it. Amaya’s Live Dealer offering is also included in the agreement.

“This is a strategic relationship for both parties,” said Mathias Dahms, CEO of mybet Holding SE. “Amaya’s casino games have proven to be not only highly popular but also very profitable. Now, we are aiming to achieve the same results for our poker and live dealer offerings. Switching to Ongame Poker and adding Amaya’s Live Dealer enables us to improve both customer satisfaction and profitability.”

“The signing of mybet for both poker and live dealer illustrates the importance of our full-suite product strategy,” said David Baazov, CEO of Amaya. “Being able to support partners like mybet with a full range of games and products is an advantage for both parties. Mybet claims profitability in Germany despite 5% tax, David Altaner GambingCompliance

Germany’s Mybet Holdings thinks it can make money in its home country’s new gambling-unfriendly regulatory environment, though it may have to push things along in court, said president Mathias Dahms.

Most of Germany’s states have passed a package of gambling rules that leave out online poker and casino and impose a 5 percent tax on betting wagers that companies such as William Hill and 188Bet say is unworkable.

Mybet and some rivals that are staying in the market plan to pass that tax on to customers, which will lead to “minimal negative effect” on earnings, the company said.

The Schleswig-Holstein-based operator will also challenge some of what it believes are rules that violate European Union or German law, Dahms said.

“There will be issues with advertising regulations which will be unacceptable to us, and we will go to court again,” Dahms told GamblingCompliance on Wednesday. “It’s getting to be a normal operation for us.”
