Cantor signs online poker deal with California horse racing, Gaming Intelligence

Cantor Gaming has signed an exclusive provisional agreement to provide an intrastate online poker platform for California-based thoroughbred racing and breeding association, Horse Racing United.

 

Both Horse Racing United and Cantor Gaming support the state of California passing legislation to legalize online poker, which they claim would generate substantial revenue for California at a time of significant budget challenges, as well as provide further support to the California horse racing industry's 50,000 jobs and $2.5bn economy.

Cantor enters California with first mobile casino deal, Gaming Intelligence

Cantor Gaming, the mobile gaming and in-running betting solutions provider, has made its first move into the U.S state of California with the signing of an agreement to provide a complete mobile casino gaming solution to the Colusa Casino Resort, including Xtra Odds Blackjack and Xtra Odds Baccarat, as well as new games that the company is preparing to release during the next three months.

 

In addition, a selection of slots, table games and video poker will also be made available to Colusa customers on Cantor's mobile gaming platform.

Betting software company Cantor Delayed IPO, Dan Townend, GamblingCompliance

The firm, which operates a mobile gaming system, had announced last December that it intended to raise $100m in an IPO to repay debt. So far this month ten firms have withdrawn IPOs — partly because of poor market conditions, an issue particularly affecting technology companies after the slump in Facebook shares.

 

The Cantor group could soon be competing against Britain's two largest bookmakers in the Nevada betting market. London-listed William Hill and Ladbrokes between them have bought three of Nevada's largest sports-betting firms and are hoping to introduce more competitive offers that will act as a launch-pad throughout the U.S.
