Crucible of The Heart

What beauty is born in the crucible of the heart?

Those moments of despair that seem to crunch the

very life out of me, yet in their wake, leave golden

blessings, fragile in their being, singing

with grace and purity, knowing the way into

the worlds of God, come always with great sacrifice.

Yet Soul cares nothing for the cost; it gladly pays

the bill for services rendered, surrendering all

to fulfill the requirements demanded of Soul.

Moving closer to God Consciousness,

the heights, the depths, the all encompassing

presence that kisses the heart, the painful

touch scars the tender heart with its searing

love, and no matter what comes, Soul cries out,

“Whatever it takes, take it all, leave nothing of me

for I am nothing without God’s Breath

breathing life within me, I am undone, I am

ecstatic, for contentment fills me with

nothing left to lose.”

Lost is a place I found

long ago and far away, in silent dreams between

lifetimes spent at the edge of eternity

with longing so deep the pain seemed more

than Soul could bear, yet somehow I did survive,

sometimes it seemed, barely hanging by a thread.

Then a brief remembrance would stir deep inside,

an awakening, yes, a land of golden, silent secrets

whispering light and sound, calling Soul to

catch the gift waves, to ride into the light

shining beyond the borders of heaven.

So when forces combine to batter me,

I am strong, in my weakness, I go down on bended knees,

yet I do not waver in this testing, this challenge to

stay on the razor's edge of consciousness,

for it is life itself

and I dare to immerse myself in Love forever.

At times the tests are so hard they wring the

tears out of my heart, rending an anguished cry,

Help me God, Help me...I can't do this on my own.

Only Holy Spirit moves me in ways

unknown, yet with complete trust I am moved

by the wind from the mountain of God,

surrendered, unresisting the battering ram,

so when times come to stretch me thin,

I am gentled by an accepting heart, born to

love all life, no matter what.

I came back this lifetime to earn Mastership,

no pussy footing around, no wimping out.

I embrace the crucible of the heart

as I become a greater student of Life

step by step, moment by moment,

For the ways of Spirit are ancient, yet

new to me, forever easy to remember,

so hard forgetting.

Beauty speaks its creative likeness into

Soul desiring nothing, just to love and honor

its Truth, with effortless effort, for it just is.

Soul, just IS the seed of God,

planted in the heart, taking root

with conscious awareness of Its Divinity.

For Soul to give all that it has to give, and then, more,

practicing the discipline of Love.

Strengthening Soul's capacity to meet the

ever increasing demands Spirit makes of Soul

in the moment,

this is all there is,

for the moment is now and now

is the eternal nature of Soul.

I am joyful and grateful for all opportunities given me,

to make great or small offerings, to say thank you

with love to Spirit for this precious lifetime of service.

I find the deepest of love softly breathing

within the crucible of the heart.....

There’s an interesting piece on Boris Pasternak’s literary fame and misfortune over at Bookforum. Steven G. Kellman is here reviewing The Zhivago Affair, co-authored by Peter Finn and Petra Couvée, “a riveting account of how Doctor Zhivago came to be written, released, revered, and reviled.” But Pasternak was a leading poet before the novel changed [...]
