Podcasting is not for everyone. Despite the many experts, gurus, rockstars and ninjas within the content marketing space moving their voice to the podcast format, podcasting will NOT work for everyone. Podcasting is long-format content marketing, which means the audience expects you to dive deeper into your area of expertise. Ms. Ileane does this well with her Ms. Ileane Speaks Podcast. Broadcast Live with Spreaker...Today I interview Anna Piazza of Spreaker.com who introduces us to their service. I’ve played with spreaker for about a month, and if you are looking to broadcast live this is a good service. Unlike Blog Talk Radio (which I have documented why I feel they are the devil numerous times on this website) this site allows you to create a decent sounding podcast using online tools. Their chat system is built in and works, and you can embed their player on your website.
Ileane Smith's insight:
Great way to start a FREE podcast! I've done a couple of reviews of Spreaker and I was even interviewed on their blog before. It's a really cool service you should check out if you want to get started with podcasting Delete the scoop?

Reel Rebel #36 breaks down the difference between omni-directional and cardioid mics. If you don't know the difference, then you should, because finding the right kind of mic for the right situation is a must for any video production. Delete the scoop?

Leaving feedburner only takes a few simple steps. Before you start, we recommend backing up any important data, statistics and email subscribers (if configured) from your Feedburner account.... NOTE: If you are using a WordPress plugin such as FeedSmith that redirects your RSS feeds to FeedBurner, disable it before you proceed! If you configured PowerPress with FeedBurner, make sure you remove the FeedBurner URL from PowerPress settings before you proceed!

Everyone should have a basic feed which works just by typing /feed to the end of their URL. Using FeedBurner messed that up and now they have subscribers to their site who are only available through the FeedBurner link. It was not a smart plan.

Laura, this post is primarily targeted towards podcasters and I know that a lot of them are taking control of their feeds on their own domain now. I like FeedBurner because I can use the feed for my YouTube channel when I post on CommentLuv enabled blogs.

For the past decade, the lowly podcast has lived in the media ghetto. Here's why it may finally get some respect. Curators Note: To be brutally honest, I dislike the Forbes website because of all the flashing popups, flying objects and other non-sense. But I had to share this post about podcasting. Forgive me just this one time. Thanks!

Imagine the look on my face when, after getting back from speaking at New Media Expo in Vegas, I logged into the US iTunes store to see how ranking was coming along, to discover I was in the No.1 spot in the New & Noteworthy section for both the ‘Business’and ‘Management & Marketing’ categories – my two main focus categories
Ileane Smith's insight:
My comment on the post: Hi Chris! Nice to meet you. I found out about your podcast from your interview with Joey Kissimmee and since then I listened to loads of your other interviews. Congrats on your success with getting lots of attention in the iTunes store. I have a podcast but I haven’t made it to new and noteworthy yet. It’s great for growing your audience, but I happy to be podcasting even without the recognition from iTunes. On my blog and social networks I share tips about blogging, podcasting and using YouTube. I love using the podcasting format to answer FAQ’s and it’s such a handy tool to give people a way to consume content on the go. I listen in the car on my way in to work and you can bet I’m be downloading your show so that you and your guests can keep me company on my daily commute too. Thanks!! Delete the scoop?
