Pas de Bohèmes sans littérature ! « Grand Format | PLASTICITIES « Between matter and form, between experience and consciousness, the active plasticity of the world » | Scoop.it

ExhibitAdam Summers, a biologist at the University of Washington’s Friday Harbor Labs and consultant on Finding Nemo, teamed up with Sierra Nelson, a poet based in Seattle, to create the exhibition “Cleared: the Art of Science,” which was premiered at the Seattle Aquarium two years ago, in 2014, according to Smithsonian Magazine. An interesting combination of beautiful science imagery and poetry, which was used to caption each image.

Mathematics: A Beautiful Elsewhere is a unique exhibition created by the Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain with the aim of offering visitors, to use the mathematician Alexandre Grothendieck’s expression, “a sudden change of scenery.” The Fondation Cartier has opened its doors to the community of mathematicians and invited a number of artists to accompany them. They are the artisans and thinkers, the explorers and builders of this exhibition.

Ivon Prefontaine, PhD's curator insight, September 25, 3:05 PM
Our brains our wired to forget. One of the strategies to help students with memory is to allow them to have conversations with peers. This was recommended by Sam Intrator. I found it useful in my classroom.

I'll never forget the day I remembered

Dr. Helen Teague's curator insight, October 9, 7:49 AM
Very interesting supposition that "Our brains are wired to forget" and that we need to "optimize decision-making". This applies to more than just students (imo).
