A girl who has as far as even getting ribs broken to become a scale of Barbie, claims that she "doesn't let any haters get her down." She has said that if people care about her enough to post negative comments, it's beter than nothing. She is also a teacher for those who would like to have spiritual and out-of-body experiences. Valeria also believes that she has started countless trends for those who would like to look artificial and resemble a doll.

In Korea, it seems that teens are more interested in having plastic surgery as gifts than they would any type of electronic. It is said that their appearance is the "most important thing." People believe that obsession with looks causes us to be "blinded to inner beauty and natural beauty."

A woman changing her name to Blondie has paid thousands of dollars for it to become more legitimate. She has been taking psychological classes to make herself seem to be less smart. She gets different forms of botox and even lip fillers in order to look more "artificial." She has said, brainwise, that she has only had 20 classes and already feels more "ditzy." She says she has been obsessed with Barbie since she was a little girl, it was then that she began her transformation. Through her teen years she did everything possible to be more like her "hero." Although she doesn't have a real job, she is supported by older men economically. She takes the term "human barbie" to the next level.

Cindy Jackson, who holds the world record for the most cosmetic procedures, has had over 50 of them which total to around 100,000 dollars in the past 30 years. She has said she is "obsessed with looking young." There are claims stating that many plastic surgeons will perform surgeries only for the money, causing patients to believe that the more surgeries done, the better, meanwhile it is the other way around and "less is more." Some say that the addicted patients have Body Dismorphic Disorder while others claim that they are addicted to anesthetic drugs and use surgeries to hide it.

People go into surgery hoping to come out of it looking like somebody different. It is "impossible to recreate another person’s image." It is much easier to make someone look like one who has already had excessive cosmetic surgeries, like Michael Jackson, than it would be to create a person who has never had any work done.
Alexis Gdovic's comment, February 13, 2014 8:08 AM
Some people undergo different procedures because of "Body Dismorphic Disorder" which is when somebody is obsessed with a tiny issue on their own body. People disagree on whether or not people should be able to look however they want to look with no doctor judgement, or if the doctor can give back his input on the decision.

A doctor from Ontario explains that by getting face lifts, it boosts people's self confidence and self esteem to greater heights. He says that getting plastic surgery done may be considered an "investment" in that "when you look better, you feel better," so all of the money put into it is worth it. He also claims that "they are more successful in their career and more friendly and outgoing in social situations."
Alexis Gdovic's comment, February 18, 2014 7:54 AM
There are new methods of plastic surgery that are on the rise. Injectible nose jobs which can take the place of a major nose surgery, although the effects may not last as long. The reason for this new discovery is fear of going under the knife. The thought of a surgery is sometimes not well-liked. In this new method, a type of dermal filler is added to perfect the nose. It does not require any medicine in which will put you out.

Cosmetic surgeons are strictly devoted to changing people's looks and physical appearance while reconstructive surgeons may do that as well as people who have been through some sort of trauma in which may have negatively affected their appearance or health, like a burn patient. Cost depends on the seriousness of the surgery. Surgeries with open wounds and incisions will generally cost more than those without. Most cosmetic surgeries are not covered by insurance unless there is a health threatening issue. It is generally less dangerous to receive surgery from a Plastic surgeon rather than only a Cosmetic surgeon. It is much more common that you will have problems and stories to tell. A majorly successful company is MYA because it "holds the most qualified and experienced plastic surgeons in the world."
