This is the expanded digital magazine format of the newsletter "Places for Struggling Teens" published by Woodbury Reports Inc.  There also is a print edition and a web site edition found at www.strugglingteens.com.  The topic is written by and for the schools, programs, professionals and parents who are part of the network of private parent-choice programs and services that service struggling young people and their families, and inclusion here is no indication of endorsement of any school, program or service.  I am a member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA), the National Association of Therapeutic Schools and Programs (NATSAP) and a Certified Educational Planner (CEP).

For children on the autism spectrum especially, they often don't pick up on non-verbal communications and need special help in learning how to pick up social skills. Marc Bonaguide explained that these students often just don't pick up on nonverbal cues and often miss what is happening in interacting with others.
