How to Pick Your College Classes Effectively

This is a guide to picking your college classes so that you don't overload yourself and to avoid minor mistakes in your schedule.

My thoughts:

While reading this, I was able to learn that I need to manage my class schedule so that my course load is not too heavy, too easy, or unmanageable. When I pick my classes I need to take good quality time on it and look into it for more than one day. If I only take a few hours on it then I would regret it later. I also need to look at the entire course list to help me understand what all is out there for me to take. Also, taking more than four or five courses as a freshman or sophmore isn't a god idea. Finally, I need to not move up on college levels if I feel that I am not ready, and make sure that my classes do not overlap.

Signing up for the right courses can save students time and money by avoiding taking irrelevant classes that don’t count toward their major.

My thoughts:

This article gave me a better idea of how I should pick classes. I need to look into the size of class I am interested in, look at my overall schedule, and see what classes will benefit my major. These will help me have an organized first year and not be to overwhelmed. I learned that I need to talk with an advisor first and take advanced placement tests which will help me save some time and money if I do well. Finally, I overall need to look into my future and not just my first year and make sure that the classes I take my first year won't end up being a waste of time in the next few years of college. And I definatly should not be afraid to try something new.
