ESPN's Sports Science is a website/collection of videos that analyze the science and physics of sports. Many videos of football and NFL athletes performing drills. Gives data of some of the results that some of the best athletes in the world are able to do; force exerted, acceleration, quickness of motion, etc. Give good comparisons to real-world things; like the force that a player exerts when they make a tackle, to how heavy of an object something could lift with that same force.

The average football sack can produce a bone-shattering 1600 lbs of force. Armed with new tools, researchers are now studying the science of a gridiron fundamental: The tackle.

Focusses on the science of a form tackle and a big hit. Discusses the energy transfer in a hit and g-forces in a tackle. The amount of g-forces that can lead to an injury when being tackled and how the equipment is used to spread out this force and better prevent injury.

Article highlighting players experiences with hits and physics in football. Gives interesting factors of a tackle and how players do what they do without thinking of the physics involved. I will try to incorporate the expressions of the players and how everything comes natural to them, due to experience.

Catching and Batting

It may be an article for baseball, but it shows the physics of catching a ball. The physics of catching will be similar for both a baseball and a football so I can use the article just as well. I will be able to use the physics shown when discussing the physics of catching the football as a Wide Reciever.

A collection of videos from NBC Learn that detail the physics involved in different aspects of football. These videos will give me a visual to better understand some of the physics, and allow me to better explain them in my paper. Each of the 10 videos highlights a different aspect of some sort of physics involved in the game.
