un avis de Christopher Barnett, un poète que j'admire, sur mon travail et particulièrement sur ce clip que j'ai réalisé à New York à l'automne 2011, mêlant photos et vidéos
" the clip has only enhanced my biew of its starkness. it is not voyeuristic, they are not subjects but living human beings with destiny. it follows the injunction of béla tarr to work with a profound hardness but work in dignity, the greater dignity of being, which is not a given for me, & certainly not in art which often ignores breath, connections & utter depravity of a world where we live as living, burning human beings. i am not being clear but i see dignity in the work of weegee, of walker evans & koudelka - i do not see that in arbus or larry clark - no matter their deïfication. they are less than theior phoyographs & their photographs inevitably become less than them, i was engaged long ago with the tulsa series which i saw soon after they were taken, he has gone no further & perhaps he was not meant to. the starkness of your photographs are like tadeusz's poem, stripped to their own survival"
