Tarun Sehrawat died of malaria while on assignment for Tehelka magazine | PHOTOGRAPHERS | Scoop.it

Tarun Sehrawat was a 22-year-old photographer for Tehelka magazine who returned after an assignment deep in the heart of India’s forests where Maoists battle security forces and indigenous groups often get caught in the crossfire. He had gone with a reporter, Tusha Mittal, into the forest-dense state of Chhattisgarh in central India in May. He had been unwell during the trip and felt uneasy upon his return but continued to work. (The pictures that he took during the trip appeared in the magazine’s May 12 issue: http://www.tehelka.com/story_main52.asp?filename=Ne120512Coverstory.asp)
