88 Links That Are Like Crack for Photographers

88 Links That Are Like Crack for Photographers | Photographer's secrets | Scoop.it

The best way to become a better photographer or whatever you want to be good at is listening to the market and in this case, look at how good pictures looks like. The next step is to try to understand how the photographer did to take the picture. The same applies to everything we learn and teach others. If we ourselves do not know how something is implemented. How can we teach others to do any good?

Kreativitet och kreativitetsövningar...

This really is a skill that we all ought to practice more often. Namely, the creative ability. What creativity is all about is the ability to dare to think outside the box. It is easy to say, "Think outside the box"! ... but what does that really mean? We allow ourselves to be hindered by previous knowledge or ignorance, and therefore never allow us to do or think differently? Although this site does not directly deal with the popular photo tips, but creative thinking and brain exercises, these are bundled together with interesting pictures much more than you think.
I call the picture above "Twist". If you can read Swedish, so give this page a moment to think if you allow yourself to think outside the box or if you are too often stuck in pre-poled thought patterns.

Mattias Hargin - Top Worldcup skier and a great all-rounder in everything he does! | Photographer's secrets | Scoop.it

Mattias and his extrem coach Sepp waiting for the helicopter to take Mattias up there no other man had previously been.

He trains 200 days alpine skiing every year! But do not think that's enough for this athlete. When the others go home to eat and rest, Mattias will see the opportunity to do what he loves most. Skiing, what else?;-)

We are not talking plain slopes to après-ski style. We're talking big ass dangerous mountain where the avalanche warning is of the scale. We're talking extremely extream skiing! And best of all. He always takes along his Canon 7d and HeroPRO "Mega Blaster Edition" Extreme Helmet Cam. So if you want to go into a true skier's life for a while, one that do not leave the Alps except when it is Formula 1 in his hometown of Monaca. Then you follow Mattias Hargins blog. He offers not only skiing and great pictures, he also shows how you should train for maximum strength to go skiing so power full that only a handful in the world can handle. Do not miss this blog! And do not try this at home!

Fotoskola: Del 1 - Bländaren

Fotoskola: Del 1 - Bländaren | Photographer's secrets | Scoop.it
Om du vill utvecklas lite längre som fotograf finns det inga genvägar. Då bör du ställa om kameran på något av de manuella lägena.

The mode I use most is "A" which stands for "Aperture", aperture mode. The difference in this mode, and Full Auto is that you can quickly determine how much depth of field you want in the image by manually changing the size of the aperture to open and let in light on the sensor. Large aperture = low value ex.1.4- 2.8. If we take the picture above as an example, I have chosen a low value = only what I focus on the image is sharp. If to have more clarity on my wife, I would choose a higher value. ex from 5.6 to 8. By then, even my wife appered more clearly it would be at the expense of a more noisy background. Your eyes focus this way to. Try holding your finger 10 cm from the eye, keep the focus on your finger but think about how everything gets blurred in the background. If you want to recreate what your eye see, creating an image that many people feel that "it looks so real", this is my tip. Check next to the camera, focus on what you want to capture in your image but think of how blurred the eye shows the surroundings. Some 1000 pictures later, you'll know immediately which aperture that is right to create a picture with real feel to it.Full Auto mode don´t give you this oppertunity becuse it normaly sets aperture opening to ensure the full image is as sharp as possible. This in return often give messy and flat feeling of the picture.

Moreover, the image is from our honeymoon in Bali and the drinks were the start of our wedding dinner . After scanning the menu of the finest dishes we ate pizza in the end. Why spoil this opportunity with anyone or anything you do not like? ;-)

I'm not the least bit surprised that this visual media is the operator of most traffic. If you have good product images or nice photos of your business. Where are those pictures now? Not in a dusty folder on your laptop, I hope!
Naturally I got stuck for hours on Pinterest and marveled at how addictive it was. Try it yourself! Logging in and then think about whether it is good or bad to go for good visual materials to engage your customers?

That you found this magazine probably means that you just want to know the secret of how to create better pictures. However, there is no secret! It's like with everything else, theoretical and practical training and willingness to learn = knowledge.
To begin at the right end and think why it is such a big difference to a photographer's own blog and the pictures that you publish today, I think this is a
Excellent article that deals with the foundation for why the pros images often are perceived better than those taken with the camera phone of someone completely uninterested in the creation of images. The answer to the only mystery that surrounds photography today is that the pros are using the correct settings on the camera at the right time and follow some simple rules that I hope you can get answers to through this magazine. I am surprised when someone says they have photography as their passion but they are totally ignorant of how camera settings affect the image. Even more fascinated when I talk to an old, tired press photographer who drives lazy settings on the camera in anticipation of retirement.
The article will give you the only secret to why some are perceived as better in their profession or hobby than others ...

Think again, ... new times, new technology, new media landscape = new opportunities!

Everyone has a "smartphone" today ..? There you have the tool you need except a dose of creativity to create interesting content that you can communicate to your  customers and stakeholders. Get Closer?

Get Closer? | Photographer's secrets | Scoop.it

What? why? Am I actually standing close! - Get Closer! ....
This actually is the most important knowledge you can quickly challenge yourself as a beginner in photography. It is difficult from the beginning. Traditionally, "we'll take a picture" meant that everyone gathers in a cluster with the sun in the face so that they are barely able to keep eyes open while turning a fake smile as if there is no gravel in shorts after swimming in Spain. All the pictures look the same. Year in and year out. The only difference is the background.

The question you should ask yourself is:

1 .. How should I use the ready image. Will it only appear on my computer, Facebook in a blog?
2 .. What is the most important thing I want to communicate with the image, nature's or person expressions and feelings?

It is difficult to succeed in both parts as long as the image will only appear on the web. As is the case for 99% of all pictures taken today. Therefore, fashion images can be perceived as rather dull and lifeless on the web, but fantastic when they are displayed in an exhibition.

So my tip is. Start by exaggerating! Try to get a picture of only the eye, and then go back until you find the balance of the image without losing detail.

Santa's elves in this picture are my sister's children. Leo & Viggo. The only image of the 500+ that I took at the time that they both looked into the camera. Will never shoot Santa's elves again! ..... Not until next Christmas anyway...
