Sandbar is not yet a commercial island. It is yet to be discovered by most beach bums. A group of foreigners were here a week ago and for sure they knew about this island from the internet. Soon, more and more people will be visiting. We’re the only guests for the day that’s why it’s very liberating to explore and take and take pictures.

There was one thing I was sure about Davao though. I knew its pace would be different than Manila. Less Chaotic. Less pollution. More importantly, there would be a lower crime rate as direct result of an effective and impressive political dynasty.

At one point we struggled at the Kiss the Wall, a piece of rock jutting out to a ravine. We had to hang by our fingernails and literally kiss the wall, or at least stick our face to the wall to keep ourselves from toppling over, and then scootch ourselves out safely to the other side.

We took our squid chew-sicles to Rizal park to see Manila’s nightly light and water show. It was amazing! Music played in the background and water jets illuminated in every flourescent color shot into the night’s sky.
