Bluish Trekker: Maranat: Simply Hidden and Serene

Bluish Trekker: Maranat: Simply Hidden and Serene | Philippine Travel | Scoop.it

I can say Maranat is unique in different ways. It's not a typical mountain where you would expect a highest peak or a summit. Really, it is not. But of course it's still a mountain and they say it's part of Sierra Madre range (most likely Mt. Oriod).

Surfing in Gubat, Sorsogon

Surfing in Gubat, Sorsogon | Philippine Travel | Scoop.it
Experience surfing in Gubat, Sorsogon. The birth of surfing here originated at Breeding in Buenavista village, an old breeding site of the Department of Agriculture and now known as Nico’s Reef. Over the years, the locals have been mum about this reef break until it was eventually exposed to outsiders.

Breathing Deeply in Baler

Breathing Deeply in Baler | Philippine Travel | Scoop.it
Life was catching up to Roxy and I when a surf trip we were planning to
Baler, a beach in northern Philippines, fell through. We couldn’t even
score last minute bus tickets, it being the weekend and a national
holiday. As fate would have it, we weren't disappointed for long.

A friend got in touch and offered us a ride to Baler the very next evening.
With the spray of saltwater already on our skin, we packed our bags, hopped
into James’ surfboard-stacked Honda CR-V, and hit the open road.

Mingle with other stranded guests. - One thing great about Siargao is that there are lots of foreigners who frequently visit the island. In the place I stayed in, there is a function room where all of the guests converge.
