The landscape in Peru interests me because they have alittle bit of everything. Peru has over 50 mountian peaks that are over 19685ft high. They also have around 1800 glacier. Peru also has 12000 lakes and lagoon in the cuntry. I would love to vist the country to see its land.

Even though Peru isnt a rich country it is famous for many things. Peru’s most famous in sports. Soccer is probably their main sport. They also enjoy tennis and beach volleyball. People there also surf and sail. I think this is interesting becase eventhough their poor they can have alot of fun.

In Lima the current weather is 64 degrees. During the winter at Peru it feels like the summer in the US. The days ar around 80 to 90 degrees. The nights are around 60 to 70 degrees. The humidity is also high at this time. The sunsests around 6:30pm and the moon rises around 8pm.

Mariano Melgar

Mariano Melgar was a warrior for the independence from Spain. He was best known for his famous poetic love songs known as yaravíes. Mateo Pumacahua was the leader of the militia of the Viceroyalty of Peru, and later president of the Audiencia of Cuzco. He took part in defeating the rebel army of Túpac Amaru II in 1781. José Gabriel Túpac Amaru was the leader of an uprising in 1780 against the Spanish in Peru.

In 1197 Manco Capac established Cuzco. In 1532 the battle of Cajamarca took place, it was where the Spanish army took the emperor and ended his empire. In 1535 Spaniards founded the cityof Lima. In 1542 the Viceroyalty was established. In 1659 Bohorquez led an uprising against the Spanish crown and 8 years later was excuted.

About 23 million people live in Peru. About 7 million of them live in Lima. 92.5% of the people are Roman Catholic. About15% of the people there are of a white ethinc group. Native american is the biggest percent which is about 45%.

Ollanta Moises Humala Tasso is Perus president. He was born on june 27, 1962. He served as a former military officer in the army. He lost the election in 2006 but won in 2011. He was elected president in the second round defeating Keiko Fujimori.

 The average life expectancy is about 70. This is due to the poverty in the country and the lack of doctors. Because of lack of money Peru cant afford many doctors. Also the cities in alot ofparts aint clean. There standrad for doctors is also alot lower. I think this is iteresting because of how good the doctors are in the US.

Peru has many tourist attractions. One of the attractions is the Peruvain amazonas. Another is El Mistis which is anactive volcano. It stands at about 19,100ft above sea level. The Cajamarquilla is another, it one of the largest archaeological monuments in the country.

Mining has also been very important in Peru for thousands of years.The manufacturing deals with mining, fishing, agriculture, and textiles. Peru also uses tourism to bring alot of money too.

The capital of Peru is Lima. The first time people was in Peru was about 9000 BC. The president is the head of the state and of the government. Like the US Peru votes for there president. The voting age for Peru is 18 to 70. Peru is also divided into 25 regions.
