"ADDIE is good, SAM is good. DMADDI is good. AGILE is good. Rapid instructional design is good. But sometimes a course design project can be overwhelming, and these design models are not specific enough to answer the question, “OK, so what do I write on the page right now?” In this blog post, I’d like to share some steps to take to simplify the instructional design process so you can get started right away and continue making progress until you are done..."

This is amazing! I"m going to use this new tool for sure. Now, your videos can be interactive and linked to content that updates in real time. Mind blown! Robin Good: The Mozilla Foundation is working hard to further develop its video editing and remixing platform Popcorn Maker. In this TED video, its COO, Ryan Merkley, showcases its key features including the ability to integrate in any video and in real-time, live web content including links, maps, image feeds, news, and a lot more. (Watch a remixed TEDTalk using Popcorn Maker -- and remix it yourself.) Given the name of this blog and the number of requests that I've had, I think it's high time we discussed serial ports; specifically, serial ports in embedded systems.

Think you're a great leader? Make sure you aren't guilty of one of these three reality-distorting traits. Every great leader possesses a degree of what Walter Isaacson (in his biography of Steve Jobs) describes as "an ability to distort reality." What Isaacson meant is that Jobs forced his will on Apple, often pushing people to create things they never thought possible--a powerful asset in any leader. But that reality distortion effect works both ways. It also means that every leader, to a greater or lesser degree, distorts the reality around themselves, leading to tensions, inconsistency, and bad decisions. There are two reasons why leaders who live in a bubble become so dangerous to themselves and those they lead.

"Despite the recently reduced price of RED cameras, each model still requires a lot of (pricey) accessories. We’ve pointed this out from the very beginning, but now we’ve gone further and compiled some realistic shooting packages at three different levels: a “cheapest possible ONE MX” list by Aaron Rich, an “owner/operator SCARLET” package by myself, and a “full professional EPIC” package by Timur Civan. Our overall goal with this post is not just to introduce (potential) RED shooters to some accessory options and needs for the RED ONE MX, SCARLET, and EPIC, but to hopefully create a post wherein users can share what has worked best for them. Let’s get started, this is going to be a long one!" ...

The company Kogeto Dot will enhance your iPhone into the next millennium, almost! It’s a camera add-on that lets you shoot video (and I take it it’s good for photos as well) in 360 degrees. It’s quite a cool thing, and it could definitely come in handy if you want to cover a whole party or any other event that usually you wouldn’t be able to capture in its full environment to include everyone around you. The price for this addition isn’t too bad either! For just $79, you will get the installation kit. Just snap it onto your iPhone and get ready to shoot! It just doesn’t get any easier than that. http://tinyurl.com/6xwomgb
