Reflection: An Essential Leadership Practice

Reflection: An Essential Leadership Practice | Personalising Learning NZ | Scoop.it

Ponder the following equations:

Information + Action = Knowledge

Knowledge is the result of information and action. Yet, knowledge of actions taken is still not wisdom. It is in the reflective process that we are able to see if the knowledge used and actions taken have produced something of value and worth.

Thus:

Knowledge + Experience + Reflection = Wisdom

Excellent article....thank you for sharing!

Knowledge + Experience + Reflection = Wisdom

I believe that many of us know what we should be doing, and also have the experience that supports what we know.

What separates the best leaders I believe are those who take time to reflect on how the knowledge + experience is rightly applied.  Taking action after reflection is when wisdom is rightly applied.

What are your thoughts?

Make it a great day!

Discover how learners take ownership of their learning in reading and what the outcomes were for teachers and learners. This is an excellent example of a personalized learner-centered environment where learners self-direct and monitor their learning.

Thank you to the learners and teachers of RSU 16 in Maine for sharing this story!
