Tumblr is a web based social media platform that was designed to make it easier for people to share digital media with each other. Personally, I have been using tumblr for intro to soico class to write my class journal. 
Tumblr is very easy to create personal blog, so it is very accessible for students. WP might be too hard (buf fun definitely!) for students.
