Via AFed Scotland; Wow, have you heard about the Pop-Up Union? Down in Sussex University, management are threatening to outsource 235 jobs on site but the mainstream unions have been rubbish. So, this new union has been formed for those who want to take industrial action. It's horizontally run, has low subs at 50p, is registered with the state as a trade union but plans on dissolving itself after the fight is over. It's already the second biggest union on campus.
