I do admit to the fact that its about being complete than making money. Values are inherent quality which exist in every individual, but need to be distinguished with the right education. So the ultimate question is about, how we rate our success, is it in terms of balance sheet or inner peace...(happiness). It could be the ability to find joy in what ever we confront (good or worse)...

Great insights Naveen. Have you ever written down a definition of success? It's worth doing if you haven't. For me "success is the progressive realization of everything I was meant to be and do." The culture tends to push power, prosperity, position, prestige and pleasure - all great things that I would hope all could enjoy and maximize. But, like you suggest the bigger issues are happiness, peace, joy, intimacy in relationships, adding value t peoples and lives, etc. You agree?
Naveen Shanmathuran's comment, May 24, 2013 12:55 PM
Well quoted Ron, you have detailed it. I am seeing it in a common mans perspective, where happiness is a relative subject to ones own environment. the intensity and measure cannot be compared or even related with another. Still it exists in the form of happiness. Some finds it in giving and other finds it in taking. being successful in life also need to be treated in this context, apart from the facts and figures of measurement we are imposing on it, or rather what makes us believe that those are the measures for it... still wondering.
