I took this course as well.  I learned quite a bit about gaming theory, gaming elements, the approach to including gaming elements in non-game contexts, which is the definition of Gamification.  I was surprised to see "Gamification" across a billboard in San Francisco last month, because in smaller cities it may not even be a recognized word! Interested in both the concept of applying game dynamics to education and studying within a MOOC, Dr. Kevin Werbach's course was useful for me on multiple fronts.
