Boston Marathon Survivor To Dance On 'Dancing With The Stars' With Prosthetic ...
Alejandro Arambula's insight:

I think that what they are doing to this lady is nice and sweet. The bombing in Boston was the reason why she lost her leg. She was a dancer and couldn't dance. I think its great that they designed a prosthetic leg for her so she could dance again. I'm glad to hear that things like this are still happening.

New technology helps save man's heart
WTHI
Doctors said he'd need a heart transplant, but in the meantime, they had to keep his heart pumping. They give him enough pills to fill a pharmacy, but they also used technology.
Alejandro Arambula's insight:

I thought this was pretty cool. Technology gets more advanced day by day. If it wasn't for the machine pumping the left side of this man's heart, he wouldn't be alive right now. It's crazy to think there we can have machines keeping us alive. It gets me thinking what can technology do for us in the future?

Christian Science Monitor Asian elephants show remarkable empathy, say scientists Christian Science Monitor "Captive studies may undercut these animals, may underestimate what they are doing," because studies of animals in captivity can fail to...
Alejandro Arambula's insight:

I think it's cool to hear about how some of the biggest mammals also have feelings. It's also good to know that they have 50 years of research on these animals. I like how we can connect to this because when we see someone that we care about being sad, we also adapt those feelings and want to make them happy, these elephants also do the same. It's also sad to know that most of these elephants are in captivity so maybe that is the cause of depression for these animals. I think it's important to care about animals because animals is what makes up part of our world just like we do.

Alejandro Arambula's insight:

I think this is pretty interesting. I think at my elementary school we did the science fair once, and i dont remember if i participated in that. I think that kids are getting more creative with their projects. Its crazy how far we have come with since the Volcano project.I think the generation after us could make a bigger impact.

Candy Crush Saga Is Difficult, Says Science
Kotaku
You might be stuck on level 20 or 30 of Candy Crush Saga, but now you can take some small solace in the fact that science has proven that a computer would have just as hard a time beating the game.
Alejandro Arambula's insight:

I find it funny how big Candy Crush got in our culture. It got so big that a Computer Scientist did some experiments on this and said it belong in a category that is difficult. I played it once and it did take some strategy, i'll have to admit.

Alejandro Arambula's insight:

I follow these artists from Puerto Rico and they have much love for other hispanic countries. This is how I found out what Venezuela is going through. I think it's crazy what they are doing to the students. It is chaotic. The government shouldn't be fighting back to the students. I hope that, soon, Venezuela stops with the fighting and comes up with a solution.

Police: Man steals church donations

An Orland Park man was arrested and charged with stealing cash from church donation baskets, Orland Park police said. David A. Kost, 28, allegedly stole from St.
Alejandro Arambula's insight:

Stealing is never a good thing. It's never a good thing specially if your stealing from a church. A lot of people have their own believes and donate money to what they believe in. Stealing from something others believe in is really messed up. Even though this guy admitted taking $14, it sounds messed up to me. I am not a very religious person, but I never try to prove anyone wrong because I don't even know if I'm right when it comes to religion. So, hearing that people steal from church, it sounds to me like there is no respect out there. If there were people stealing from what I believe in, I would feel devastated. I hope people learn how to respect other peoples believes. Who knows how much money he has taken before.

EAST RUTHERFORD — Never ones to miss a chance at publicity, the anti-gay Westboro Baptist Church has descended on East Rutherford for the Super Bowl.
Alejandro Arambula's insight:

I think the Westboro Baptist Church is getting bigger and bigger, but they are also being hated by others more than being joined. I think it's crazy that they are willing to say that God Hates certain people. I think just by ignoring them things should be better. And for them to near the stadium, it seems like they really want to spread their words. I think this crosses the line of freedom of speach
