5 stratégies digitales d’annonceurs sur Facebook

5 stratégies digitales d’annonceurs sur Facebook | Personal Branding and Professional networks | Scoop.it

1- The easy way

2- The not so easy way

3- The hard way

4- The ideal way (un jour peut-être)

Conclusion : sans intelligence point de salut

Merci d’avance !

Ask anyone to name the most popular social media tools used by students, and it’s a safe bet everybody could name the top two: Facebook and Twitter.

But those are far from the only online applications making inroads. As administrators warm to engaging students through social media, the list of potential resources at their disposal grows longer by the day.

The Challenge of Getting Visibility on Facebook [infographic] | Personal Branding and Professional networks | Scoop.it

Many face the challenge of getting visibility on Facebook in the newsfeed, especially for business pages.  And, maybe that’s why I’m hearing more and more people talking about moving over to Google+.

It’s estimated that only about 10% of the people who follow your Facebook page, actually see your content. So you’re left to spend an unreal amount of time posting pictures, videos, polls and links in the hope that your followers will see and engage with your content. Or, you can advertise your content with promoted posts and offers in an attempt to get attention in the newsfeed.

If you’re committed to marketing your business on Facebook (and with over 1 billion users, who isn’t?), the infographic below may help you choose how to engage for the best return on your investment of time.

The Social Media Statistics for 2013 across Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest provide us with an interesting opportunity to review where we may want to spend our social media dollars and time in the coming year.

2013 is shaping up to be a changing year in the online social media landscape. The Pinterest user base and relationship with online spend is likely to grow, Facebook is likely to roll out more products changing the landscape time and time again, and the Twitter user base is likely to grow, however Twitter needs to counter the issue of visual content quite quickly to compete in the e-commerce space. When considering where to spend your social dollars, be aware of your target audience, and wherever possible take the time to improve the visual nature of your content and you should begin to see some great results...

One of the most frustrating things about Facebook is the unpredictability of its updates.

The new Timeline may be one of the better changes in a long time, some people still miss its old version.

Good news! There is now an extension that allows you to revert to the latter. It’s called OldTimeline.

A Printable Guide to Social Media [#Infographic] | Personal Branding and Professional networks | Scoop.it

Ask anyone to name the most popular social media tools used by students, and it’s a safe bet everybody could name the top two: Facebook and Twitter.

But those are far from the only online applications making inroads. As administrators warm to engaging students through social media, the list of potential resources at their disposal grows longer by the day.

Facebook and Twitter are the obvious choices. But there are other options- Tumblr, YouTube and Google+, to name three.

Of course, if naming the latest social media tools seems tough, learning how to use them all is harder still. In an attempt to shorten the learning curve, Flowtown and Column Five published this Social Media Cheat Sheet for your reference...

Tocquigny's curator insight, February 19, 5:40 PM

Facebook marketing? A must according to many companies. Not worth the trouble to some. But most of the voices you hear are in the business-to-consumer space. After all, people go onto Facebook for fun. But what if you're trying to reach other businesses, making the seemingly reasonable argument that the users don't stop being involved in business just because they're taking a break?

Someone in a technology company selling to other businesses recently argued that Facebook is a social media tool that doesn't work, at least for companies selling computers, networks, and other technology solutions. Bob Hebeisen, former head of partner marketing for a software company, argued that Facebook "is just not gaining widespread traction in the B2B world."

What Facebook Says

That is a "misconception," according to Dan Levy, director of small business at Facebook. "We think marketing for all businesses can work on Facebook and we're starting to see examples of it." Marketing software vendor HubSpot ran a campaign that saw a 71 percent increase in sales during a campaign "with clicking coming off Facebook back to their blogs or websites," Levy says. And VendorShop Social, which offers software services to create e-commerce stores on Facebook, the regular Web, or via mobile, started its business with a Facebook focus.

And yet, those examples are unusual ones. Both sell marketing software and Levy says that Facebook doesn't have general results for the efficacy of B2B marketing campaigns. He did offer some statistics, though they ought to be taken with a big grain of salt.

For example, the number of business pages on Facebook has increased 40 percent year over year and the number of businesses with local pages that have also tried advertising campaigns doubled. And yet, that could be simply due to Facebook's expansion and companies experimenting. It also refers to all businesses, whether B2B or B2C. In the first six months of promoted posts, 300,000 businesses used it with 75 percent being repeat customers. However, according to Facebook, repeat literally means that an advertiser tried it more than once, and two tries could easily be part of a test.

All that said, it is true that Facebook users often are in business, and it is possible to target SMB-affiliations with the self-serve ad tools. According to Levy, the SMB category includes 7.4 million people on the social network. No information on their geographic distribution. That could mean a business that depended on physical proximity to service customers, like a distributor or HVAC firm, would have to see how many prospects might be in their territory.

Studies show photo posts on Facebook are the most engaging. In traditional media, the highest percentage of people who look at a newspaper look at the pictures, while a lower percentage actually read the articles. The same holds true for Facebook.
To illustrate the impact of sharing photos on social networks even further, consider that 10% of the pictures ever taken in the world's history were taken in the past year...
