Se hai un profilo Instagram che usi per promuovere il tuo Hotel o Bed and Breakfast, da qualche giorno hai una possibilità in più: puoi realizzare dei brevi video di 15 secondi in modo estremamente facile e rapido.

 

A differenza delle foto, un video non è facilmente esportabile da Instagram verso un proprio sito web. 

A darmi l’idea è stato un post dove ho visto per la prima volta un video di Instagram incorporato su un proprio sito internet.

 

Ho fatto delle prove e ho trovato un sistema molto più semplice e diretto rispetto ad altri, per poter incorporare un video sul tuo blog aziendale.

A new study unlocks the secrets to what's most shared on the popular social network.

Curalate, a visual analytics and marketing firm, created algorithms to determine how over 30 factors -- including color, lightness and saturation -- affect an Instagram post's performance. The company analyzed more than 8 million images from the photo-sharing platform.

The findings share are some tips to help businesses kick their Instagram presence into high-gear, including:


Keep it cool: Photos dominated by blues and other cool colors tend to garner more likes while photos with warmer oranges and reds do worse.

Master monochrome: The more dominant a single color is on an image, the more likes it could get. Pictures dominated by a single hue receive 40 percent more likes than those that don't.

With color, less is more: It can be tempting to ratchet up the vibrancy, flooding your image with color to make it stand out. But in today's overstimulated world, bright and vibrant colors can get lost. The proof is in the data: Curalate says less saturated images receive 18 percent more likes than their mover vibrant counterparts.

Facebook isn’t one of the cool kids The reports are coming out that teenagers think Facebook isn’t cool anymore. I think it’s the combination of too many changes with the program, too many companies selling stuff and too many of them seeing their parents (and some are even seeing their grandparents!) using the social networking site. This was not news to me. I heard about this last year when I asked my 13-year-old niece how she likes using Facebook. In her puberty-filled voice she said, “Facebook is weird. We’re not on there anymore. Facebook is for old people like you Aunt Penney.” Gee, thanks kid....

I am not that fond of facebook anymore either. Too much clutter, extraneous material, unnecessary information, unnecessary guideline changes and I could go on. It was a great place to start to learn social media. It provided a good foundation. But it is really time to move on and many of us already have.

 

Instagram may not be the rage for my generation. But I am with you 'kids', neither is facebook. What social media venue do other folks prefer?

Most of us are familiar with sharing photos on social networks. It started on Facebook and has exploded with the arrival of Instagram. This infographic aims to explore the impact of a picture-based social network model.

Studies show photo posts on Facebook are the most engaging. In traditional media, the highest percentage of people who look at a newspaper look at the pictures, while a lower percentage actually read the articles. The same holds true for Facebook.
To illustrate the impact of sharing photos on social networks even further, consider that 10% of the pictures ever taken in the world's history were taken in the past year...
