The author of my book also made another one. The difference of this book is that it talks about the time when Marjane used to live in Iran and then the time when she moved to Austria and she started to have a different life even for her it was a little hard because of her past in Iran.At the new place she had the chance to finish high school and also to study in college.
In this article it says that in London of France there are a lot of girls or women that go to school and they wear the veil. They say that some of them wear only the one that covers your hair and some wear the longer ones from head to toe. The students or even the simple people that live in London disagree that this ladies need to wear the veil. They say that this has to do with their rights and their freedom. Also they say that their day it does not start like everyone else because they can not enjoy the freedom of going outside and not being covered. They said that some of the ladies that come from Iran or that are muslim don’t like the idea to wear them but they have to because of their religion. All of this it started after the revolution one 1979-1980s.Some of the people think that wearing the veil or the hejab and burqa is one way for men to have power over women.
Persepolis The story for this book it all started in 1979 when the Islamic revolution began. It talked about the history of people and place. During this time people had to go through a lot and also a lot of people had to die. It was kind off a war between the ones that wanted to protect their rights and the ones that had power. In 1980 it was obligatory to wear the veil for everyone but none could agree and none liked this idea. During the revolution some people died and some others went to jail but also a lot died while their were in jail because they were treated really bad like they were not humans. Ladies were the ones that weren't treated the same like men because they had no power and there were more obligated to wear the veil because of their long hair.During this period of time their life was not the same. Some of them were not allowed to do or have a lot of things. They were suppose to be the same like other families.Except the veil problem and bad treating there were also problems with kids.A lot of them did not have the right to go to school and get an education because most of them were close.Because of the demonstrations a lot of people decided to move to different places. Some of them moved to the United States and some in different places.Marjane decided to begin a new life in Austria away from trouble. My book was more about history of families and the people. It talked about how bad people were treated while they were in jail. Page 51 They used to burn them with iron. This was a torture for them and really painful expect the emotional torture that they were in jail and the rest of the family was out trying to survive life. .Women did not have any rights and they were over used by men. Also it taught me that you cant love someone from a different class and cant marry them. I liked the novel because it taught me how much people had to suffer in the past just to save their rights. From 1-10 I would say 8. It taught me why people need to wear the veil and how bad was that time to even get food for your family.
This video shows that everyone that lives in Iran or is islamic does not like the shah so they want him to go. He was the one that took their rights away and didnt give them freedom. All they want is just freedom. Also it shows that there are too many deaths going on during this time. It show that simple people are no afraid of the shah and they will not stop fighting for their rights. In this fight they were all together men, women, old, you and even kids. Also they were expecting the worse to happen and this was nothing for them.
In this article it says that during the revolution, before and after schools were open and that they were free for everyone. It says that they were alot of kids that liked to study and the companies that make the books for kids were making a lot of them.It says that elementary school was for 5 years and the middle school was for three years. After that the kids were the ones to decide either to continue school or not. Most of the schools during the revolution were closed and not a lot of people liked that idea. There were kids that wanted to finish college but it was impossible because they closed them. Also it tells you that boys and girls were separated in school after the revolution began 1979-1980s.
This is a group that protects human rights no matter where they are at. In this group it says how women are the most popular ones that have been the head of everyone.Lately they have been treated bad and in some places they can not have the life that they might wanna have. Some of them are not allowed to even finish education if they do not have a permission from an older person that should be a man.In my oppinion this should change and we all should do our best to help them.
This article talks about how the revolution began in late 1978s. This revolution was one of the largest that has happen in the Iran. This revolution it showed the end of one monarch and the beginning of a new one. The one that left the place was Reza Shah Pahlevi. Not a lot of people liked him.Ayatollah Khomeini was the new monarch in Iran. This revolution happen like a surprise such as none could find out how and why it did happen. People that were demonstrating were just simple people that didnt have power. The reason why they were doing this is because his was not a cool person and it did not allow others to have their rights.
Picking up the thread where her debut memoir-in-comics concluded, Persepolis 2: The Story of a Return details Marjane Satrapi's experiences as a young Iranian woman cast abroad by political turmoil in her native country.
In 1984 Marjane fleed from Iran to Austria,Vienna. There she finishes high school and graduates.During this time she noteces that she misses her place and her family a lot so she decides to go back there and visit. When she went there she saw a lot of differences that have happen in her place but also on her. Mean while she starts to study for art in college and starts to think if she should start her life again in Iran or not
In Islam, marriage is a social and legal relationship intended to strengthen and extend family relationships.
The information from my source says that marriage is different from the other places. It says that if you are gonna get married your family or your friends start to look around for a good guy or girl. The boy needs to be appropriate so they both can end up being married together. Their religion says that you can't love someone by their own unless the family knows him or his family. If your parents find someone that has a good education or that comes from a good family you should marry that person. Also if you are a girl you are not allowed to talk with a guys unless you are related with him. Every meeting between a boy and a girl it ends up on a marriage and also they have to be in the same social class.
