If I Had A Hammer, I’d Hammer Out Ready-Made Workplace Solutions | Performance Project | Scoop.it
Remember Peter, Paul and Mary’s version of the song “If I Had a Hammer?
James Schreier's insight:

I have to post this -- if only for the reference to Peter, Paul, and Mary.  They provided me with one of my first awareness points about the importance of practice, practice, practice.  I could argue very easily that they were responsible for the origin of this project.

My "Peter, Paul, and Mary" story has been a staple in a number of my training programs for years.

The Performance Project

The Performance Project | Performance Project | Scoop.it

The Performance Project” is focused on lessons for leadership and management from live performing arts, music, theatre, and dance, and from sports.

James Schreier's insight:

The following link is to a song, "Why" from "Tick, Tick, Boom!"  Thanks to Michael Ingersoll, (Under the Streetlamp, Jersey Boys) for giving me:  "Over and over and over til we got it right."  It's clearly the theme song for this topic and The Performance  Project.  Message to leaders and managers:  PRACTICE! PRACTICE! PRACTICE!

Why -- from Tick, Tick, Boom

Ex-NFL player Boone Stutz prefers pit road over gridiron | Performance Project | Scoop.it

"It's a high-pressure situation, and you have to be able to think in the moment," Stutz said. "Athletes say things will slow down for you the more you do it. I find it kind of the same as with football. Things are speeding by you, and guys are flying by you on pit road, but they 'slow down' when you've done it awhile.
