Penguin 2.1 & Hummingbird, here is what we know so far
As some of you already know, there was a Penguin rollout on October 5. While we don’t know everything about it just yet, we have a some observations based on what we have seen happen to the sites that we have been tracking, including the sites we are working on. So far the update has been a lot less adverse on the sites we have been tracking in comparison to the Penguin 1 update. A majority of the sites, in fact, have increased in rankings, but a good number of other sites have gone down. Read more at: http://www.lmk-consulting.com/penguin-2-1-hummingbird-know-far/

Wage Garnishment Laws in New Jersey

A wage garnishment is a court order which is sent to your employer instructing them to withhold a specific sum of money from your weekly or monthly paycheck to pay a debt you owe. The Advantage of Using A CPA To Prepare Your Taxes Versus Preparing Your Own Returns

If the last few years of global financial uncertainty have achieved nothing else it has created an entire new generation of people who are far more financially aware and astute than the generations gone before them. The ideas of unlimited credit and unlimited ceilings on property values are now a thing of the past, and the world is now enjoying its very own, and very real, financial hangover. People are now more likely to do things for themselves than to hire somebody else to perform those same tasks for them, and using computer software to prepare tax returns is a perfect example of this.

Why It's So Important To Save Through Investment For Retiring

If you ask people in their 20s about their financial plans for retirement you'll generally see them roll their eyes in the head and talk about "living in the now". The other side of this chronological coin is asking somebody in their 40s what their retirement plans are, and instead you'll probably see a look which lies somewhere between confusion and terror.

When to File for Disability Claims

The cost of providing disability payments for the population of the United States has increased by over 160% since 1990 alone. This massive increase in costs is due to a large number of fraudulent claims, but it is also just down to the sheer volume of people making claims in the first place due to injuries received in the workplace

Repossession Laws in New Jersey: A Consumer Guide

Repossession isn't something anyone wants to think about, but the property market implosion starting from 2008 onwards has made repossession of personal property, including homes and cars, a fact of life for everyone from blue-collar workers to billionaires. Nobody – regardless of their financial standing – likes the idea of repossession because of the stigma attached to it i.e. you can’t pay your existing debts. With that being said if you can’t afford to make your repayments on any given loan then you can expect to be dealing with a repo company sooner rather than later.

For most people the only time they think about their accountant is when their tax returns are due, and they find themselves in an almost state of panic at the same time every single year. The reality however is that your accountant is far more flexible in the work they can undertake for you, and is also capable of helping you with far more issues then you probably imagined. Ousting liens off your property – Is bankruptcy the ultimate panacea?

Your ability to discharge your debts through bankruptcy depends on the types of debt you carry. Even though bankruptcy knocks out your personal liabilities to repay a secured debt, the lien that the creditor places on your property survives your Chapter 7 bankruptcy case, unless it’s returned to the creditor. Bankruptcy only provides relief from debts that you've racked up and so, if you carry liens into bankruptcy, they’ll be treated in a different manner. Although there are ways to get rid of liens, it depends on your financial situation and the level of equity that you've accumulated in your home. - See more at: http://www.rudikhlaw.com/blog/ousting-liens-property-bankruptcy-ultimate-panacea/#sthash.tQVWPY2w.dpuf

The IRS Announces An Additional 12 Month Delay In The Health Coverage Penalty for Midsize Employers

Anyone running or managing their own business will be very familiar with the requirements of The Affordable Care Act when it comes to providing employees with healthcare coverage. Under ObamaCare employers were given until 2014 to provide healthcare cover for all full-time employees, but now with the realization that the current targets are simply untenable, the Obama Administration has decided to extend the deadline for midsize companies to implement its policies in 2016, and with larger companies being given an ObamaCare reprieve until 2015.

The Healthcare Individual Mandate Has Been Delayed...Again

In even more bad news for the much-maligned ObamaCare, the Healthcare Individual Mandate has come under fire from new legislation from the House Republican Study Committee, the chairman of which has managed to have the requirement for the Healthcare Individual Mandate delayed until 2016. This particular element of ObamaCare being delayed means that there are no penalties for those of you who that didn't have full healthcare coverage by the end of 2014.
