Here is a good example that shows how technology and innovation can reduce our freedom.

Indeed, while technology offers to people new ways of communication and make our life easier, it also reduce our personal privacy because all our technological products could be under surveillance..

An article from The Intercept!

CIA/NSA

What the heck.  Apparently the CIA has full access to our phones, history, apple accounts, call/message logs, etc.  This was probably in the terms and agreements no one read.

As creepy as this is, I think its a good thing,  The CIA having access to phones has the potential to deter, if not prevent terrorism.

Opinion: Sharing Economy will harm economy but make life better | Centre for Social Innovation

Opinion: Sharing Economy will harm economy but make life better | Centre for Social Innovation | Peer2Politics | Scoop.it

The Sharing Economy has become one of the buzz terms of the 21st century and business models that incorporate sharing are being praised for creating jobs and growing the economy. Sharing businesses are worth billions of dollars (Uber is currently valued at more than $17 billion) and despite legal challenges in Toronto and elsewhere, growth in this area is undeniable. While much of the benefits seem clear to those who use sharing services – save money, reduce environmental impact, more convenience, more community – a future economy with a prevalence of sharing will likely not grow our economy or create jobs but rather help shift it into something completely different.
