Why the Best Creators Collaborate

Why the Best Creators Collaborate | Peer2Politics | Scoop.it

In content marketing, Buffer is the proverbial “Lil Wayne.” As they were just starting out, the social sharing start-up had content everywhere, and to a lesser extent, they still do. Their co-founders Leo and Joel took an incredibly aggressive approach to guest blogging. For months it seemed like their content was popping up everywhere, infusing a variety of different sites with their unique style. This period is very reminiscent of lil wayne’s 2007-2008 onslaught, and had a similar effect.

Unified Communication Doesn't Mean Unified Interaction - NetworkComputing.com | Peer2Politics | Scoop.it

The use of unified communications and collaboration (UCC) or unified communications-as-a-service (uCaaS) is expected to surge dramatically over the next few years, thanks to its ability to consolidate multichannel communications onto a single architecture across virtually any size of distributed enterprise. In fact, Forrester Research has predicted UCC to become a "standard communication infrastructure," with a market set to hit nearly $62 billion by 2018, driven by more than 15% annual growth.

The Collaboration Paradox: Why Working Together Often Yields Weaker Results

The Collaboration Paradox: Why Working Together Often Yields Weaker Results | Peer2Politics | Scoop.it
On a midsummer afternoon in 1957, a church fundraiser altered the course of music history. It was just after 4:00 when a group of teenagers took the stage. Rumor has it the boys were so anxious about playing in front of their neighbors, they downed a few beers before launching their set.

Collaborative Cooking by Isberg, Johansson, Korsgaard, Berglöf ... | Peer2Politics | Scoop.it

“Collaborative Cooking is a project initiated and created by Christian Isberg, Petter Johansson Kukacka, Lasse Korsgaard and Carl Berglöf. The project is based on a digital platform that controls and interacts with a physical cooking machine. This is a way to explore how we will prepare and discuss our food in the future. Does cooking require a physical presence or is it possible to create and explore through digital platforms and experience food beyond the known limitations? Collaborative cooking further examines the possibilities to cook together and is the beginning of a new era – an era full of new collaborations and innovations.

Solving The Talent Crisis: The Case For A Collaborative Approach

It’s well documented that in the United States employers have millions of unfilled jobs, and job-seekers often don’t have the skills to fill them. As a further complication, “soft skills” are increasingly critical to success in the 21st century workforce, but many employers are also finding that today’s prospective job candidates aren’t equipped with those skills either. This increasing gap between talent supply and demand continues to be a critical discussion amongst key stakeholders who are joining forces to collaborate to improve the problem.

Collaboration in the Digital Age - EpicLaunch

Collaboration in the Digital Age - EpicLaunch | Peer2Politics | Scoop.it

Remember the days when group projects consisted of four or five people huddled over mountains of books, whispering in urgent tones to one another in the back corner of the library? Or afternoons spent organizing and fitting a meeting into everyone’s schedule in order to get the work done? In the business world today, any type of collaboration is almost always done digitally, according to the University of Wisconsin. Thanks to the help of videoconferencing and emails you can be literally anywhere in the world and still manage to get work done no matter what the weather, your social schedule or the traffic are like.

Crowdsourcing Economies with Collaboration - Innovation Excellence (blog)

Crowdsourcing Economies with Collaboration - Innovation Excellence (blog) | Peer2Politics | Scoop.it

According to Venture Capital (VC) database CB Insights, the total amount of venture capital financing hit $29.2 billion across 3354 deals in 2013. What’s interesting is the number of overall VC deals has remained relatively flat over the past three years, as have the total investments (holding Q1 of 2012 as an outlier). But, don’t we hear of new ventures and new deals being made all the time? I personally haven’t taken the time to calculate all the funding transactions for new ventures over the past several years. However, there is another industry taking hold that might be the culprit as to why we are hearing about new businesses/ventures receiving funding, but that aren’t translating into these market statistics below (data from cbinsights.com).
